Privacy Policy

When you use STYL, we collect information you provide directly — including uploaded outfit images, style preferences, body type context, and city location for weather-based recommendations.

If you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar event data (titles, dates, times, locations) through the read-only scope described in Section 02. We do not access event descriptions, attendee lists, or any calendar other than your primary calendar.

We also automatically collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, time on page, and device/browser information. This helps us understand how STYL is used and improve accordingly.

Outfit images you upload are processed in real time for AI analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session unless you explicitly save them to your wardrobe.

STYL requests the Google Calendar Events Read-Only permission (scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly) when you choose to connect your Google Calendar.

We use this access solely to: (1) read event titles, times, and locations for the specific day you are planning outfits for; and (2) pass that event context to our AI stylist so it can suggest appropriate outfits for your schedule.

We do NOT modify, delete, or create any calendar events. We do NOT access private event details beyond what is necessary, attendee lists, video call links, or secondary calendars. We do NOT share your calendar data with any third party.

Your Google OAuth tokens are stored securely in our database and used only to fetch your events on demand. Access tokens expire after 1 hour and are refreshed automatically using a refresh token. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Calendar page, which immediately revokes and deletes your stored tokens.

STYL's use and transfer of data received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your data is used to provide and improve the STYL service — including generating outfit suggestions, weather-based styling advice, and personalised scoring based on your stated preferences.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your outfit photos to train our models without explicit opt-in consent.

Anonymised, aggregated usage data may be used internally to improve recommendation accuracy and design decisions.

Session data (uploaded images, analysis results) is retained only for the duration of your browser session unless you create an account and save items to your wardrobe.

Google Calendar OAuth tokens are retained until you disconnect your calendar or request deletion. Upon disconnection, tokens are immediately revoked with Google and deleted from our database.

Account data (email, preferences, saved outfits) is retained until you delete your account. You can request full deletion at any time by contacting patilpritam337@gmail.com.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest.

STYL uses strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Google Calendar authentication cookies (httpOnly, secure) are used to avoid re-authenticating on every request. These cookies expire automatically and are cleared when you disconnect your calendar.

We use anonymised analytics via Sentry for error monitoring and performance analysis. No personally identifiable data is sent to external analytics services.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. You may also request a copy of your data in a portable format.

You may revoke Google Calendar access at any time via the Calendar page in STYL or directly through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

For users in the EU/EEA, your rights under GDPR apply in full. For users in India, we comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
